Victorian Dance Class with MISS TABITHA
Join professional dance
instructor Miss Tabitha, SASS Regulator #26972 (a.k.a.
Sharon Guli) of River Crossing Inc. as she
teaches dances such as the Virginia Reel, the Gie Gordon,
square dances and quadrilles, and the Spanish Waltz! She
has been researching and teaching these old-time dances
for over 19 years, and she specializes in adapting
historic dances for modern-day people. All dances will
be taught, and no partner or previous experience is

Victorian Underwear Show with MISS TABITHA
Enjoy a unique presentation as Miss Tabitha
(Sharon Guli) demonstrates for you how a Victorian lady
would have dressed from the “inside out”. Beginning with
chemise and drawers, she adds corset, petticoat, bustle,
and on and on until at last she is attired in her final
outfit – “properly and decently” dressed to appear in
public, not forgetting her headpiece and correct
accessories. As each piece is added, she shares
entertaining and historical anecdotes about the clothing
of the Victorian era. This is a delightful program you

Cowboy History Lecture with MAD MOUNTAIN MIKE
Mad Mountain Mike, SASS Life Member/Regulator #4385 (a.k.a.
Michael Guli) has been designing and building historical
costumes for over thirty years, with his specialty being
the making of early American leather clothing and
accessories. He has produced clothing for movies such as
“The Mountain Man”, “Made in America” and “The Quick and
The Dead”, as well as garments for museums such as the
Denver Art Museum and the Buffalo Bill Museums in Cody,
WY and Golden, CO. Recently Mike was honored as the
“Best Living Men’s Period Clothing Fashion Designer” by
True West Magazine. Mike’s research enables his
creations to reflect the flavor of the times in which
they were originally produced. Please check the program

RIVER CROSSING INC.
Sharon and Mike Guli operate River Crossing Inc., a
company that specializes in historic clothing and
presentations. Together they bring history alive to
thousands with trunk shows, period dances, fashion shows,
lectures and numerous other programs. Mike and Sharon
are actively involved with the Single Action Shooting
Society, and have served as entertainers, consultants
and costume judges at national SASS events over the
years. Sharon and Mike are pleased to once again be a
part of
Italy’s European Cowboy Action
Shooting Championship.

arriverà al risultato finale abbigliata in modo
“appropriato e decoroso” per apparire in pubblico, senza
dimenticare gli indispensabili accessori e il cappellino. Ad
ogni passaggio, vi racconterà aneddoti storici e curiosità
sull’abbigliamento nell’Era Vittoriana. Decisamente uno
spettacolo piacevole da non perdere! Il programma indicherà

La Storia dei Cowboy – Conferenze con MAD MOUNTAIN MIKE
Mad Mountain Mike, SASS Life Member/Regulator #4385 (a.k.a.
Michael Guli) ha ideato e prodotto costumi storici per più
di trent’anni, specializzandosi nella creazione dei primi
indumenti e accessori in pelle americani. Ha realizzato i
costumi per film quali “The Mountain Man”, “Made in
America” e “Pronti a morire”, così come capi di vestiario
per musei quali il Denver Art Museum e il Buffalo Bill
Museum di Cody, WY, e di Golden, CO. Recentemente Mike ha

Sharon Guli ha disegnato e
realizzato costumi storici per 10 anni. Coprendo l’epoca che va
da Colonialismo al Cowboy Rhinestone, il lavoro di Sharon è
stato concentrato sulla ricerca del design, dell’autenticità e
all’attenzione dei dettagli. La sua passione viene da un
background di rievocatori storici, da balli vintage, dalla
passione nel creare costumi storici che catturino il look di
ogni periodo. Le risorse per il suo lavoro includono vecchie
stampe fotografiche, quadri del periodo, e attente analisi di
collezioni private.
L’interesse generato dai
suoi costumi storici, ha spinto Sharon a sviluppare un business
chiamato Miss Tabitha, offrendo uno svariato numero di programmi
dimostrativi del suo lavoro, partendo dalla sola esposizione dei
suoi prodotti fino a sfilate complete di stili che vanno dal
1840 ai primi del 1900. E’ anche istruttrice di comportamento e
di balli del periodo, Coloniali, Vittoriani, dei Pionieri e
Ragtime.
Sharon ha portato le sue
presentazioni di abiti presso musei, case da te, chiese, case di
riposo, centri sociali, e in molti altri luoghi. Ha sviluppato
programmi unici specialmente per le scuole. Ha condiviso la sua
passione per gli abiti storici e per i balli sia a livello
locale che a livello internazionale, da Chicago a Las Vegas ad
Atlanta. La sua innata passione per la ricerca e l’autenticità,
la sua capacità di creare nuove dimostrazioni è stata in grado
di riportare la storia alla vita sia a livello di spettacolo che
a livello educativo

MISS TABITHA
Thousands of people involved with Cowboy Action Shooting
have discovered the joy of dancing the steps of generations
past. Many of them have experienced this for the first time with
professional dance instructor Miss Tabitha, SASS #26972 (a.k.a.
Sharon Guli) of River Crossing Inc. Miss Tabitha has taught
Victorian and Old-Time Cowboy Dancing at multiple SASS events
over the years, including End of Trail, Mule Camp, Hell of
Wheels, Last Stand, the SASS Family Reunion, and the SASS
Convention and Wild West Christmas in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Miss Tabitha brings to each dance floor a pleasant and
lively mix of both the old and the new -- historically-correct
vintage pieces, simplified versions that are easier to learn,
and a few contemporary selections that maintain the flavor and
feel of Victorian times. While preserving this piece of the
past, she keeps things relaxed with light banter, an eagerness
to encourage the novice, and a clear, easy way of explaining the
steps so all can understand and participate. During breaks in
the music, she shares entertaining information on the history of
the dances and the etiquette of this bygone era.
Now
you, too, can re-capture the feel of “days gone by” when you
join Miss Tabitha as she teaches dances such as the Virginia

Sharon Guli has been designing and building historical costumes
for ten years. Covering eras that range from Colonial to
Rhinestone Cowboy, Sharon’s work demonstrates a flair for
design, regard for authenticity, and attention to detail. She
blends her backgrounds in historical re-enactment, vintage
dance, and costuming with ongoing research to create garments
that beautifully capture the look of each period. Sources for
her work include old prints and photographs, period patterns,
and close examination of vintage garments in private collections
and museums.
The interest generated by her historical costumes led
Sharon to develop a business called Miss Tabitha’s, offering a
number of programs to showcase her work, ranging from solo
presentations to a full-scale fashion show with multiple models
featuring styles from the 1840’s to the early 1900’s. She is
also an instructor of period dance and etiquette, teaching
dances of the Colonial, Victorian, Pioneer and Ragtime eras.
Sharon has brought her historic presentations and clothing
to museums, tea houses, churches, retirement and nursing homes,
social clubs, and many more venues. She has also developed
several unique programs especially for schools. She has shared
her passion for historical clothing and dance both locally and
nationally, from Chicago to Las Vegas to Atlanta. Her ongoing
passion for research and authenticity and her creativity in
costuming and producing new shows have enabled her to bring
history alive in an entertaining while educational fashion.
